Annamaria Russo Aruss trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples and Rome with Arnoldo Ciarrocchi, Giuseppe Capogrossi and Emilio Greco. She taught in Rome in the public school until 1997 and in the same year she worked as a volunteer at the national Gallery of Modern art, collaborating to activate the “Friends of Modern Art Association '' in Valle Giulia A3M in which she held statutory functions. After this period, her artistic research continued, travelling for study purposes in Italy and abroad. She took part in a numerous expositions, some of them in important historical-artistic places like “Bramante’s hall” in piazza del Popolo, “Cortile degli Aranci” in the monumental complex of San Michele a Ripa, the “Scuderia” of Palazzo Ruspoli and the Barracco Museum in Rome. Moreover she organised several exhibitions among which: “Colour and ancient/modern Drawing” in Stabiae site in 2002 which became the symbol of a tribute to the ancient Stabie in the sphere of Restoring Ancient Stabiae project; “Harrows”, Hommage a Pierre Restany, in Dars Office in Milan, in 2004. Then in 2009 she organised an Expo named “reflections”, an ancient and modern apartment in the Cybo palace in Venice. Sign and colour engraving Central Institute for graphics 2015.
Annamaria Russo Aruss is a member and an artist of the “Permanente” of Milan since 2002.
